Householding Your Statements

If you have more than one account, statement "Householding" may be ideal for you!

Many clients maintain multiple relationships with the same brokerage firm. These may include - individual and joint accounts, custodial accounts on behalf of children (UGMA/UTMAs), IRAs, Trusts and other types of related accounts. If you have more than one account, you currently receive each of your account statements from us in a separate envelope. Now there is a way to make the statement mailing and reporting process more efficient.

You can elect to "Household" your statements and enjoy these benefits:

  • All (or some) of your related brokerage accounts may be linked to a main or "Master" account so that the statements are mailed in the same envelope/package
  • Accounts with different principal addresses may be linked, such as accounts of relatives for whom you are managing the portfolio or providing tax advice
  • A "Householding" cover page displaying separate and combined assets in all the linked accounts will be enclosed with your statements
  • You will no longer receive duplicate statement inserts or announcements that result in wasted paper

To participate in statement "Householding," follow these simple steps:

1.

Determine which of your related accounts will be designated the "Master" account. All of the accounts in your household will be linked to this account for statement mailing purposes.*

2.

Download, print and complete the "Authorization to Household Brokerage Accounts" form.

3.

Make certain that each separate account owner(s) signs the "Authorization to Household Brokerage Accounts" form where indicated.

4.

Mail the signed original to your investment representative and keep a copy for your files.

*Certain accounts may be ineligible for Householding. Consult your investment representative for more information.
